You will need:

  1. Pomfret Fish 4
  2. Konkani Masala 2 tablespoon(i have already shown how to make it you can check it here you will only need 1 tablespoon of coconut paste and 1 tablespoon of red chilly paste.This Step is optional but adds a great flavour ) Konkani Masala Recipe
  3. Red Chilly Podwer 4 tablespoon (you can add more or less depending on how much spicy you like)
  4. Rice flour 3 table spoon
  5. Rava(Semolina) 2 tablespoon.
  6. Salt to taste

For Marination:

Kokum,lemon,salt
  1. Kokum 5-6
  2. Half juice of lemon
  3. Salt to taste

Method:

  1. First marinate all the pomfret fish .Add some water in the kokum and remove juice from it.
  2. Apply the kokum juice ,lemon juice and pinch of salt to the pomfret
  3. Leave aside for 15 minutes.

For Pomfret Fish Fry

  • Mix all the ingredients rice flour,rava,salt and red chilly powder

  • Take one fish . Apply little Konkani Masala .

  • Then dip it in rava,rice flour mixture and coat it nicely

  • Repeat this step for all the fishes.

  • Place a non stick pan on gas stove .Add 3-4 table spoon of oil and let it heat up nicely.

  • Then carefully place the coated fish on the non-stick pan.

  • Cover it with the lid for 5-7 minutes.

  • Open the lid and flip the fish .And let it cook nicely for 5-7 minutes from other side

  • Keep checking the fish at regular intervals.It will generally take 15-20 minutes to cook it completely

  • Turn off the gas after 15-20 minutes. You will see this that the fish is cooked.

  • Take out the fish from the pan and remove it on plate catefully.Garnish it with coriander leaves and lemon.
